SUKH-PURVAK VARIATION
Sukh-Purvak Variation
Visuddha“The centre in the throat is the centre of the physical mind. It is the centre of externalisation - in speech, expression. The power to deal mentally with physical things, etc. Its opening brings the power to open the physical mind to the light of the divine consciousness instead of remaining in the ordinary outward-going mentality.” —Sri Aurobindo

“Just as the all-pervading Akasha (ether) because of its subtlety, is not contaminated, so is the Self located everywhere in the body not contaminated.” —Sri Krishna

“While the word Chakra has [Hindu] Sanskrit roots (Note: However, Hindu religion came after Sanskrit terminology.), the energy involved is not partial to any particular religion because Chakras is not. It is a universal energy, and all people inhabiting physical bodies on this earth have them. These energy vortexes are the channels through which spiritual energy flows through to manifest in the physical. (Note: Matter is merely slowed down or crystallized energy, hence, our bodies are pure energy.) The chakras and other smaller energy vortexes (such as acupuncture points) are openings and channels for universal energy to flow into and out of the aura. Through chakra meditation and learning and experience with the energetic nature of the universe, we can awaken our conscious minds to our true spiritual natures.” —Balancing and Charging the Chakras by Julia Jablonski (notations are mine)

“Thought and emotion of a high spiritual type seem to depend largely upon the violet ray, whereas the power of ordinary thought is stimulated by the action of the blue mingled with part of the yellow. In some forms of idiocy the flow of vitality to the brain, both yellow and blue-violet, is almost entirely inhibited. Unusual activity or volume in the light blue which is apportioned to the throat centre is accompanied by the health and strength of the physical organs in that part of the body.

“It gives strength and elasticity to the vocal cords, so that special brilliance and activity are noticeable in the case of a public speaker or a great singer. Weakness or disease in any part of the body is accompanied by a deficiency in the flow of vitality to that part.

“The 5th centre, the laryngeal, has 16 spokes, and therefore 16 apparent divisions. There is a good deal of blue in it, but its general effect is silvery and gleaming, with a kind of a suggestion as of moonlight upon rippling water. Blue and green predominate alternately in its sections. ” —The Chakras - A MONOGRAPH By C.W. Leadbeater

In fact, when I chose to do the Mandala that is the logo for this site, 16 triangle points were the layout in my mind. A rainbow of colors was also included in the visual that came to me. And this site is all about communications. The Moon is the most significant experience I have had in this lifetime with nature and its divine consciousness. This Chakra for me is very connected to the Moon. This is why I have devoted an entire series in The Moon Salutation to the Moon and her phases and attributes, and much more. It is good to have an understanding of the Moon and what it means to you and your life. It affects all of nature on earth.

Remember, this Chakra is not about who you are. It's about how you communicate who you are to others. If this Chakra is blocked, how you appear to others will be quite different than who you really are. This could possibly cause constant misunderstandings in life. It is much better to express what you really feel than to pretend you are someone that you are not. This is a mighty lesson for so many.
